We all have heard the phrase “cleanliness is next to godliness.” In the book of
Leviticus cleanliness goes beyond mere sanitary practices to the very core the
distinction between God’s life-giving presence and the corruption of sin that has
brought death and destruction to this world. In order to live restored lives, God’s
people must live different and be different from the world but this difference is
something that only God’s word can accomplish as it is received, believed and
lived in a personal way.

QUALITY -Do it right the first time- we don’t always get a second. I read this phrase a while ago, and it reminded me that in life, many times, quality is all that matters.

For the Old Testament Levitical priests, it was of utmost importance to make sure they had the qualifications that God required or risk their lives. In regard to Holiness, obedience and conformity to God’s word are essential for life.

God’s pathway to holiness through sacrificial substitutionary atonement is not the most popular message nowadays, but it is absolutely necessary and essential for our spiritual health. In the book of Leviticus, God gives Israel a picture of what fellowship with him is all about. The first seven chapters of Leviticus reveal a fivefold expression of God’s provision of grace for his people to have fellowship with him in spite of their personal and corporate sin.
