Followers of Jesus are called to embrace a mindset of ultimate biblical stewardship based on…

The eternal security of their salvation: a life-long journey (Heb. 3:1-4:3).
1. Are you for real? The challenge of mixed audience [3:7-12 (cf. Psalm 95)].
2. The cause of a rebellious and hardened heart: unbelief (3:18-19).
3. The security of those who believe [4:1-3 (cf. 1 John 5:13, Romans 11:1-7)].
Christ’s gracious invitation to rest (rely) on him for all of our present and future needs: a life-changing journey (Heb. 4:3-11).
1. Sabbath rest: living our today in light of God’s tomorrow.
2. Sabbath as a picture of God’s provision for our final rest (Rev. 21:1-11, 22:1-5).
Their awareness of ultimate accountability before the Word: a life-giving journey (Heb. 4:12-13).

The to-morrow of eternity is decided by the to-day, when we hear His voice. If God’s to-day be too soon for thy repentance, thy to-morrow may be too late for God’s acceptance. – DL Moody

Get ready to grow!

Sabbath is a good picture of God’s provision for ultimate salvation. Salvation is God’s gift by grace received through faith. It rests on the sufficiency of completed work on Christ, not our feeble works of self-righteousness. If you have trusted Christ for your salvation, you can rest in Sabbath joy of your salvation where you must cease from works in the trust of his.
When all is said and done about your life, God will have the final word. What will he say about the way you lived your life?
There is no better investment of our lives than God’s glory. His dividends compound eternally! Are you ready to be a life-giver?
