The conditions after the fall went from bad to worse but God choose life for us instead of death by giving us grace to redeem us. In Genesis 3:15 God promised to send a Savior to crush the serpent on the head even though he himself would be bruised. In spite of organized humanity’s failures, God called a man of faith, Abram to become the channel of blessing to all nations, and through him form a people that would eventually bring our Lord and Savior. We are now invited to choose life by joining his people of faith in this humanly impossible journey because, after all, by faith in his promises, what is impossible for men is possible for God.

What kind of response is God looking for in those whom he offers his promise and provision?

In response to his promises and provision, God expects us to respond with biblical faith that chooses life by…

Turning away from sin and toward God: Repentance Genesis 12:1-5.
Taking God’s word at face value and embracing God’s better future Genesis 15, 17:15-23, 18:9-15.
1. Faith in God’s word replaces our fear with God’s righteousness 15:6.
2. Faith in God’s word replaces our scarcity with God’s generosity. “Is there anything too hard for the Lord?” Gen. 18:9-15, Luke 1:35-37, Matthew 19:25.
Trusting God’s capable hands with our impossible needs Genesis 22, Romans 8:29-32.

To choose life, entrust your impossible needs into God’s capable hands.

What are some obstacles that seem impossible to overcome for you to experience the life God promises in his Word? Repent and renounce them today.
What has God already graciously provided for you to become the person that God wants you to be? Are you willing to receive his grace and ask for his help under his terms not yours?
God gives us the promise of life by his Word and the grace to receive it. The only thing he desires from us is faith. Faith is entrusting our impossible needs into his capable hands. What impossible needs does God want you to entrust to him today?

El salmo 46 es un cántico de “esperanza y confianza”. El salmo se divide en tres estrofas. La primera estrofa, es “una invitación a seguir confiando en el Dios de toda esperanza en medio de las crisis de la vida”. En la segunda estrofa, el salmista revela “quien debe ser Dios para nosotros”. Y, por último, “lo que Dios puede hacer por nosotros”. Entonces, este salmo enseña que el Señor en tiempos de dificultades, crisis, temor y desesperanza; Él es amparo, fortaleza, auxilio, refugio, fuente de esperanza, seguridad, y victoria.
