Amanda Cook

Children’s Ministry Assistant & Journey Kids Worship Lead

Amanda Cook has been involved in serving the church through children’s, youth, and worship ministries from a young age. In 2021, she graduated from East Texas Baptist University with a Bachelor of Music in Worship Studies degree and continued her studies in worship at Dallas Baptist University. In 2023, she graduated with a Master of Arts in Worship Studies degree, followed by an Advanced Certificate in Children’s Ministry Leadership from DBU. From 2021 to 2024, Amanda had the opportunity to serve DFBC as a worship ministry intern and children’s ministry resident. In the summer of 2024, God called her to serve with New Hope First Baptist Church in Cedar Park, TX. One year later, God opened the door for Amanda to join the DFBC staff team.

Amanda believes children are not only the future of the church, but they are part of the church today. Children’s ministry holds value in the life of the church. She actively engages with the children of the congregation to show the children that they are welcome, known, and valued. She believes Jesus valued children throughout his ministry and the church should follow His example by leading children in the way of worship. Devoting her time to bridging the gap between generations, Amanda strives to lead with wisdom, compassion, and humility while raising up the next generation of worship leaders.
