Julie Lindsey
Hospitality and Guest Connections Minister
Julie Lindsey has served as the children’s ministry director from 2007 to 2026, and now serves as a minister of hospitality and guest connections. Serving is one of Julie’s spiritual gifts. She believes you serve until you see Jesus, serving comes in many forms.
The hospitality ministry is important in helping people feel connected at DFBC, and she believes it begins with each person. Matthew 20:28 states Christ came to serve, not be served, so even Christ was hospitable with people. He had meals with many different kinds of people. DFBC wants to welcome and serve people; Julie will be serving to aid this desire.
She and her husband, Richard, were high school sweethearts and married a year after graduation. Richard’s career has taken them to several locations through the years, and they were active members of a local Baptist church with each move. They have three daughters, 16 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and the families enjoy a close relationship. All three families serve in churches where they live.
