Obedience
WHAT IS BAPTISM?
Baptism is a joyful step of obedience for every follower of Jesus. It isn’t what saves us, but it is the public declaration that we belong to Christ and desire to follow Him. Baptism beautifully pictures the forgiveness of our sins and the new life we have in Jesus. It’s a moment to celebrate as a church family—a milestone in a believer’s walk with Christ and the beginning of a new chapter in their journey with Jesus.
WHO CAN BE BAPTIZED?
Baptism is for anyone who has made a personal decision to trust and follow Jesus. We baptize by immersion (going under the water and coming back up), representing what baptism is meant to symbolize: being buried with Christ in His death and raised to new life with Him (Romans 6:3-4).

Frequently Asked Questions
Baptism is a public declaration of a personal commitment to follow Jesus Christ. It is an outward expression of an inward change, symbolizing that our sins are forgiven and that we have new life in Christ. (See Romans 6:4)
Baptism is for anyone who has personally trusted Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. We call this believer’s baptism—it follows a personal decision to repent of sin and place faith in Christ. (See Acts 2:41)
We baptize by full immersion in water because the New Testament shows this pattern and because it best illustrates what baptism represents: being buried with Christ in His death and raised to walk in new life with Him. (See Romans 6:3-4)
We believe baptism is for those who can personally repent and believe in Jesus. While we do not baptize infants, we encourage parents to dedicate their children to the Lord and commit to raising them in a Christ-centered manner until they are old enough to make their own decisions. (See Acts 2:38, Acts 8:36-38)
The Bible shows baptism happening soon after someone trusts Christ. Once you’ve placed your faith in Jesus, you’re ready to take this next step of obedience.
