Turning Points

This world measures personal success through personal achievement. In his first letter, Peter reveals a message that goes against the current of this world. In the kingdom of God it is not the strong or capable who are successful but those who are chosen by God and live their lives driven by a vision of God’s living hope. Few people have lived this message so radically as the apostle Peter. Peter, the rock, must face the limit of his resources and experience failure to learn that only Christ can accomplish what we cannot. This is Peter’s turning point, when Christ meets him at his lowest point and he realizes that to go where he has never gone he will have to be what he has never been. In this message series we will reflect on the turning points on our journey where God gives us an opportunity to live our lives in the direction of the risen Christ.
