Home (not so) Sweet Home
To dwell with his people God must first save them. Only people who have been saved by the grace of God are able to dwell with him. A lifestyle of fellowship based on God’s justifying work of redemption is the foundation of the life-changing journey of sanctification. In the second part of the book of Exodus we will see how God transforms the lives of saved people to live lives that are aligned with is will. In the journey of sanctification God will confront us with our struggles to let go of the selfish desires of our flesh, the world and the devil in order to cling to his word. Although God wants us to dwell with him in a sweet, sweet home, sometimes the struggles of sanctification this side of glory will turn our fellowship in a not so sweet home. As we continue this journey into the territory of sanctification we will be challenged to put aside our earthly desires and to walk in a manner worthy of our heavenly call.
