Hello! We are the Cooks and we love ministering to the College and Career group at DFBC! Our family felt the call to join this ministry as lay leaders in 2019 and haven’t looked back since! We have a wide variety of ages and cultural backgrounds with a strong International population. As a group, we focus on developing our faith in Jesus Christ through Bible study and meaningful fellowship. Every Sunday we share a meal together and provide ample time for fellowship. We have a very active group and enjoy spending time together through activities, such as: going on road trips, camping, retreats, cultural events, volleyball, game nights, etc. We are starting our Prayer and Praise Monthly meeting on Wednesday nights in order to provide a safe place to share burdens as well as praises.

A little about us!

Dr. David Cook is a professor, lawyer, and program director at Dallas Baptist University. He loves to read in the areas of leadership, history, and God’s calling. David enjoys the great outdoors and feels rejuvenated after a nice hike. He is a father to three kids and a devoted husband of 17 years to Nicole.

Nicole Cook is a full-time homeschool mom and new homesteader. After the family bought some land in 2020, she and the kids have been figuring out how to farm. She loves to cook and host career/college students.
