Our unity in the church is constantly tested both doctrinally and practically. Church history is full of schisms and divisions, some of which were necessary and others that showed the underbelly of our communities of faith. In this chapter, we will see how the early church managed the doctrinal and practical challenges to their unity to further the gospel and resist the temptation to cave to the pressures of the journey.
Nuestra fe será probada por el fuego. Cuando entramos en el campo de la misión, entramos en el campo de batalla. Ninguno de nosotros será inmune a las tribulaciones que vendrán con la misión. Dios usa el fuego de las tribulaciones para refinar nuestro testigo y hacernos más como Cristo, pero el enemigo buscará usar los mismos juicios para tentarnos y alejarnos de nuestro compromiso con Cristo. Our faith will be tested by fire. When we enter the mission field, we enter the battlefield. None of us will be immune to the tribulations that will come with the mission. God uses the fire of tribulations to refine our witness and make us more like Christ, but the enemy will seek to use the same trials to tempt us and pull us away from our commitment to Christ. What ends up happening will reveal the nature of our faith and maturity.

Hay un momento en cada familia en el que los niños deben abandonar el nido y hacer sus propias vidas. En el plan de Dios, la multiplicación tanto física como espiritualmente ocurre mejor cuando somos maduros y podamos darnos para que otros puedan crecer. En Hechos 13 vemos que este es precisamente el contexto en el que el primer movimiento de multiplicación de discípulos comenzó a llegar a los fines de la tierra en el primer viaje misionero. ¿Es DFBC una iglesia donde los fabricantes de discípulos están facultados para multiplicarse?
